Come explore the world of plants Waldorf-style! We feel so lucky to be able to bring this tried and true course to you in self-guided format.
Using artistics methods, observation, and scientific facts about the plant world we will explore several different types of plants, their uses, how the function in the natural world and how we look at them through the lens of Waldorf education. This course includes everything you need for a comprehensive, fully self-guided course on botany.
Typically taught in class 4 or 5, this botany block is based on Waldorf methods and includes hands-on learning and concepts typically used in Waldorf education. Activities for this class including reading 4 short stories in the book, "Girls Who Look Under Rocks," performing 6 plant observation drawings, and completing a hands-on assignment related to the course material, and a final plant profile report. All material learned in class will be recorded by the student in their main lesson book.
