Recorder
Pentatonic Recorder
This class is ideal for the beginning recorder student and especially great for students who have mastered the pentatonic flute and are ready to move on to the next level of their musical journey. We will begin with the 5 basic notes and finger positions of the G Pentatonic Scale then move on to playing songs using those notes and finger positions adding a new note each week. Students will record their finger positions and their songs in their lesson book with the idea that the action of drawing and writing this information out will help them to better retain and understand the music that they are learning.
Students will be expected to practice their songs during the week. While prior music knowledge is not necessary it is helpful and students may wish to take Pentatonic Flute class before beginning recorder classes.
